Our story began in college, with two guys who felt a disconnect between their faith and their music. Even with our deep passion for music, we often left the worship stage feeling more inspired to play outside of the church than within it — a sentiment shared by many of our musical friends. We believed there had to be a way to create music that was both spiritually compelling and artistically bold.

Our early journey was guided by Inner Anvil Ministries, a non-profit that gave us the resources and connections to become a compelling band. We spent two summers touring the West Coast under the names Rapport and Uncharted, pushing the boundaries of what 'worship music' could be. A re-adapted version of Ray Charles’ 'I Don’t Need No Doctor' became a surprising success in multiple congregations—a powerful moment that showed us the appetite for something different.
